ISCFE Certified Forensic Computer Examiner

Data on Hard Drives can become lost for a variety or reasons. Initially, the reason is unknown, and often there is a very limited window of opportunity for an easy recovery. It is important to ensure such a window is not unnecessarily lost.

So please, if you value your data / your customer’s data, do NOT power on a drive/computer unnecessarily. One more power on by you may be the last time the drive remains physically accessible - as a bad head / failing pre-amp / seizing bearing finally gives up the ghost. If this happens then the process immediately becomes a Category 4 recovery, necessitating the use of specialist Clean Room facilities and technology - which is much more expensive.
Xympl Limited provides a range of fixed price
Data Recovery services:
* Diagnostic Assessment & Report (DAR):
This report advises which of the following four recovery categories applies to your situation. A small fee applies, and is is the only fee you incur unless you authorise us to proceed with the notified recovery option.

* Category 1:
Non complex repair / restoration of file systems and/or core drive structures

* Category 2:
Complex repair / restoration of file systems and/or core drive structures

* Category 3:
File system fully compromised and lost. Whole of drive sector based extraction and reconstruction of recoverable data using forensic tools and methodologies required. This is a complex and time consuming process.

* Category 4:
Drive physically or electronically compromised. Component repair or replacement in a clean room environment required to make drive accessible. 95% success rate, but not always possible. No recovery = no fee.
